Sustainable Development in the Special Economic Zone "Technopolis Moscow"

Adhering to the principles of Sustainable Development is becoming an integral part of any responsible business. We recognize this necessity and are actively implementing sustainable development practices in the Technopolis Moscow Special Economic Zone, which help reduce negative environmental impact, increase social well-being, and enhance investment attractiveness. The Moscow SEZ is one of the first regions in Russia with a preferential regime that implements an infrastructure platform model aimed at achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Creating long-term value through commitment to the SDGs is one of our objectives.

The Sustainable Development agenda is relevant both for the existing sites of the Technopolis Moscow Special Economic Zone and for the new territories that are planned to be included within the boundaries of the Moscow Special Economic Zone.

CONCEPT
IN THE FIELD OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

To solidify the commitments of the SEZ in the field of sustainable development and systematically scale activities in the areas of ecology, society, and governance, the Concept of the SEZ in sustainable development until 2029 was approved by the company in February 2025. During the preparation of the Concept, a large-scale and detailed analysis of significant issues was conducted, including studying the best global and Russian practices and analyzing methodologies and standards in the field of sustainable development. The Concept outlines priority areas of work in sustainable development, including work with residents, and contains key performance indicators for their implementation.

Ecology

The Technopolis Moscow Special Economic Zone is an honorary guardian of the Red Wolf, a red-listed species, at the Moscow Zoo.

Our main goal is to ensure the effective functioning of the SEZ with minimal impact on the natural environment.

In 2023, the management company of OIZ "Technopolis Moscow" developed and implemented a Quality Management System, and received compliance certificate No. ROSS RU.Fkll.k00819. The concept in the field of sustainable development foresees the further implementation of management systems according to GOST R ISO standards.
