A resident of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ has launched the production of a digital laboratory for primary school

A resident of the special economic zone (SEZ) “Technopolis Moscow” has begun serial production of the “Metrology” educational kit for elementary school students. The digital laboratory allows children to conduct more than 200 different experiments using measuring instruments and digital sensors. This was announced by Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry.

“High‑tech industry is actively developing in the capital, and, as a result, the need for qualified engineering personnel is growing. The products of the SEZ resident help children master scientific methods through practical classes and experiments.” The new digital laboratory teaches how to work with measuring instruments and sensors, analyze results, and draw conclusions. All of this fosters research‑oriented thinking from an early age. Such projects align with the task set by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin — to provide the city with competent specialists for the growing industry,” noted Maxim Liksutov.

The laboratory was developed by the company “Scientific Entertainment,” which creates teaching materials and digital equipment for natural science disciplines. The set includes classic measuring instruments — scales, a ruler, a palette, a graduated cylinder, and a thermometer. They are complemented by digital sensors, which can be used to measure sound levels or light intensity, and then analyze the obtained data on a computer.

The company’s products address the key task of educational organizations — creating a continuous environment for training future professionals. It covers the entire spectrum from kindergarten to admission to a specialized university, allowing a child to gradually immerse themselves in science through practical classes. The company’s portfolio includes more than 30 patents for its own developments.

Products from the residents of the capital’s special economic zone are regularly supplied to regions across Russia — from the Kaliningrad region to the Far East. Inspection equipment manufactured in the capital is used at airports, railways, and energy facilities across the country. Portable medical devices for emergency care are supplied to ambulance services and hospitals in more than 50 regions. Composite materials and structures are used in the construction and reconstruction of bridges, overpasses, and hydraulic structures in dozens of regions.

The Technopolis Moscow Special Economic Zone will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2026. Over the course of two decades, the project has transformed from a launchpad for innovative projects into a key hub for domestic industry and a magnet for companies that define Russia’s technological sovereignty. Today, production of more than 240 high‑tech enterprises representing strategic areas such as microelectronics, instrument engineering, biomedicine, IT, and robotics is localized across 10 sites of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ, with a total area of 430 hectares.Moscow is actively developing industrial infrastructure for high‑tech enterprises. Thanks to urban solutions, companies are increasing their production output and launching innovative production facilities. This contributes to the implementation of the national project “Efficient and Competitive Economy".
