This year, 20 teams representing enterprises of the special economic zone competed for the Technopolis Moscow SEZ Cup. The corporate championship, which was organized as part of the celebration of the SEZ’s 20th anniversary, ended on August 5. The closing ceremony of the championship took place at the company’s own sports complex, Arena Play Technopolis, with the participation of Yegor Titov, a legend of Moscow Spartak. This was reported by Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry.
The SEZ “Technopolis Moscow” is a whole ecosystem consisting of more than 240 innovative enterprises. As part of the development of the business environment, over 200 different events are held here every year. The corporate mini‑football championship, which has been held since 2023, is very popular. This year, seven new teams have joined the “Technofootball‑2026” championship. The tournament table has expanded, among other things, due to the addition of resident companies and the opening of new businesses. “In 2025 alone, 15 high‑tech production facilities were launched in the Moscow special economic zone,” Maxim Liksutov emphasized.
The competition was judged by representatives of the National Amateur Football League. After a tough competition, the champion was the NexTouch team from the resident “Nex‑T”, which specializes in the production of interactive panels. According to the team captain, Rafael Izmailov, who was named the best player of the tournament, it is important for the employees of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ that sport is part of the corporate culture and helps to unite the team outside of work. The team itself is happy to regain the status of tournament winner after 2023, when it won the title for the first time. It is important for the company not only to be a leader in the production of displays, but also on the football field.
The Technopolis Moscow Special Economic Zone will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2026. Over the course of two decades, the project has transformed from a launchpad for innovative projects into a key hub for domestic industry and a center of attraction for companies that define Russia’s technological sovereignty. Today, production of more than 240 high‑tech enterprises representing such strategic areas as microelectronics, instrument engineering, biomedicine, IT, and robotics is localized across 10 sites of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ, with a total area of over 430 hectares. The number of highly skilled jobs created amounts to 33,000. This contributes to the implementation of the national project “Efficient and Competitive Economy.”
