To mark the 20th anniversary of the SEZ “Technopolis Moscow,” a limited series of “Troika” cards was released

In honor of the 20th anniversary of the special economic zone (SEZ) “Technopolis Moscow,” a limited series of Troika transport cards was released in the capital. The design was developed in the signature style of the flagship of the capital’s industry. This was announced by Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry.

“Over the past two decades, the Moscow SEZ has become a driver of the capital’s industry development and a symbol of technological sovereignty. Its facilities produce highly complex microelectronic products, software, innovative medical devices, and medicines.” In honor of the 20th anniversary of the special economic zone, a series of themed “Troika” cards was released. The production of travel passes is fully localized in the capital’s special economic zone. A domestic chip, developed and manufactured by one of the residents, is used for their production,” said Maxim Liksutov.

The print run of the anniversary cards amounted to 1,500 copies. The design is based on chip lines, which symbolize technological advancement, as well as a gear — a recognizable element of industry. You will be able to get a limited‑edition “Troika” card at the large‑scale “Technofest” festival, which will be held on August 22 at the Northern River Station.

The production is carried out by the company “Microtron Security Printing” — a joint venture of JSC “Microtron” and State Unitary Enterprise “Moscow Metro”. Since 2022, the “Troika” transport card has used a Russian chip developed by a resident of the special economic zone. Since 2023, the production of both the card itself and the chip for it has been fully localized in the capital. The technological process includes several stages: manufacturing the microchip, encapsulating it in a COB module for protection and contact with the reader, mounting it on a board with an antenna for contactless reading, as well as printing and connecting all the layers.

The assembly line is equipped with 10 COB module packaging machines — they perform the mounting of the integrated circuit onto the substrate, wire bonding of the leads with aluminum wire, sealing, grinding, electrical testing, die cutting, and sorting. Another 14 machines are designed for the production of inlays: here, the COB module is positioned, the antenna is formed, contacts are welded, lamination and quality control are carried out.

The products of the residents of the capital’s special economic zone are regularly supplied to regions across Russia — from the Kaliningrad region to the Far East. The screening equipment manufactured in the capital is used at airports, on railways, and at energy facilities across the country. Composite materials and structures are used in the construction and reconstruction of bridges, overpasses, and hydraulic structures in dozens of regions. And the digital educational equipment developed by a resident of the SEZ helps schoolchildren and preschoolers learn natural sciences in 73 regions.

The Technopolis Moscow Special Economic Zone will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2026. Over the course of two decades, the project has transformed from a launchpad for innovative projects into a key hub for domestic industry and a magnet for companies that define Russia’s technological sovereignty. Today, production of more than 240 high‑tech enterprises representing strategic areas such as microelectronics, instrument engineering, biomedicine, IT, and robotics is localized across 10 sites of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ, with a total area of 430 hectares.

Moscow is actively developing industrial infrastructure for high‑tech enterprises. Thanks to urban solutions, companies are increasing their production output and launching innovative production facilities. This contributes to the implementation of the national project “Efficient and Competitive Economy.”
