Every fifth graduate of the National Research University “MIET” (NRU MIET) was employed by enterprises in the special economic zone (SEZ) “Technopolis Moscow”. In total, in 2026, the educational institution trained more than 1,200 highly qualified personnel for the country’s economy. This was reported by Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry.

“On the instructions of Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, we continue to provide the city’s industry with qualified personnel.” Graduates of NRU MIET — the flagship university of Moscow’s special economic zone — are in demand at enterprises. This year, over 250 young professionals were employed at high‑tech production facilities in Moscow’s special economic zone. Some of them received job offers from companies belonging to the microelectronics cluster. The career development center of NRU MIET, as well as the “Technowork” and “Technointernship” projects implemented by the SEZ, help students find jobs,” noted Maxim Liksutov.

This year, the leader in terms of the number of employed graduates was the company “NM‑TECH”, which implements a full cycle of chip production. Young specialists were also in demand at enterprises engaged in the development of system‑on‑chip and processor architectures, the production of full‑cycle radio‑electronic equipment, and the creation of information security systems. These include the “Mikron” plant, the “Proton Plant” enterprise, the “Electrinvest” group of companies, the “Electronic Computing and Information Systems” research and production center, and the Zelenograd Nanotechnological Center.

During their studies, students complete internships at SEZ enterprises, where they get acquainted with the operation of high‑tech production facilities and the main technological processes. Some graduates then find employment at enterprises located in regions where the best practices of the capital’s industry are replicated.

“In 2026, NRU MIET confirmed its status as one of the best higher education institutions in the country in terms of graduate demand. Based on the results of the National Employment Ranking, the university was included among the leaders in nine bachelor’s degree fields and seven master’s degree fields.” The status of a flagship university of the SEZ “Technopolis Moscow” opens up unique opportunities for our students: even during their studies, they get acquainted with real production tasks at high‑tech enterprises. The university is currently running an admission campaign; more than 4,900 people have already submitted applications for 926 budget‑funded places,” noted Sergey Gavrilov, rector of NRU MIET.

The capital is developing platforms for high‑tech businesses. Thanks to city solutions, companies receive benefits and create modern jobs. This contributes to the development of the national project “Cadres,” which is aimed at training specialists and ensuring that the country’s economy is supplied with qualified personnel.
