Taking care of the youngest: a resident of the Moscow SEZ has developed child stretchers for emergency medical services

A resident of the special economic zone (SEZ) “Technopolis Moscow” has developed child stretchers for pediatric departments of hospitals and ambulance teams together with specialists from the A.S. Puchkov Ambulance and Emergency Medical Care Station. The product has already been registered with the Federal Service for Surveillance in Healthcare. This was announced by Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry.

“On the instructions of Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, the city is providing systemic support to high‑tech enterprises.” Residents of the capital’s special economic zone are exempt from paying property, land, and transport taxes, and the profit tax rate has been reduced to two percent. The funds saved by the companies are used to expand and modernize production facilities and develop new innovative products. For example, the preferential conditions have enabled a company specializing in the production of medical devices to create children’s stretchers that take into account the anatomical features of a child. The products are now already in use at four ambulance substations,” said Maxim Liksutov.

The stretchers are developed by the Medplant company. The product is designed for young patients with a height of 65 to 130 centimeters and a weight of 8 to 35 kilograms. The main feature of the device is its removable bolsters. They carefully secure the child’s body and head, protecting them from shifting during movement. For safe transportation, the design also includes securement straps. It will be convenient for medical staff to carry the product thanks to the shoulder straps and handles, which have been provided for working in confined spaces.

Furthermore, the company developed and launched the mass production of 45 medical devices, 14 of which were included in the equipment of ambulances. The company’s products are regularly supplied to more than 50 regions of the country. In 2026, shipments were carried out to the Yaroslavl Region, Krasnodar Territory, Belgorod Region, and the Republic of Tatarstan.

The SEZ “Technopolis Moscow” is celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2026. Over the past two decades, it has transformed from a launchpad for innovative projects into a key hub for domestic industry and a center for companies that define Russia’s technological sovereignty. Today, production of more than 240 high‑tech enterprises is localized across 10 sites of the Technopolis Moscow special economic zone, covering an area of 430 hectares, representing such strategic areas as microelectronics, instrument engineering, biomedicine, IT, and robotics.

The capital is building the foundation for the country’s technological sovereignty. Thanks to city‑level decisions and support measures, residents of the Technopolis Moscow special economic zone are increasing the production of innovative products and expanding their presence in global markets. This contributes to the implementation of the national project “Efficient and Competitive Economy”.
