Sobyanin: The world’s first space mini‑shuttle was created at the Technopolis Moscow special economic zone

The device does not burn up upon entering the atmosphere and will be able to independently deliver materials and results of scientific experiments from orbit to Earth.

Two unique space developments have been created in the Technopolis Moscow Special Economic Zone (SEZ) — an innovative mini-shuttle and a high-tech quantum sensor. Sergei Sobyanin told about them in his channel in the Maks messenger.

"This is the world's first mini-shuttle that does not burn up when entering the atmosphere. He is capable of independently returning materials and the results of scientific experiments from orbit to Earth. The spacecraft can be launched not only from stations but also from small satellites,” the Mayor of Moscow noted.

The second development is the world’s first quantum sensor for detecting the smallest particles, consisting of only a few atoms. Thanks to it, scientists will be able to study the processes of cosmic dust formation and develop new ways to protect satellites and manned spacecraft.

Both devices expand the possibilities of space research. They will help obtain more information and improve the safety of future missions. New inventions have already passed the first stage of patent registration.
