Future leaders in science and technology visited the enterprises of the SEZ “Technopolis Moscow”

80 participants in the Program for the Development of the Human Resource Management Reserve in the Field of Science, Technology and Higher Education, implemented by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, visited the special economic zone (SEZ) “Technopolis Moscow”. Future leaders of scientific organizations, universities and technology companies studied the operation of the capital’s high‑tech industries. This was announced by Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry.

“On the instructions of Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, the city is strengthening the human resource potential for high‑tech industries. We are creating favourable conditions for the professional growth of young specialists.” “A visit to the Moscow special economic zone for participants in the Russian Ministry of Education and Science program is an opportunity to see the work of the capital’s most high‑tech companies with one’s own eyes, to ask questions of the best engineers who are already producing microelectronic products, laser equipment and industrial robots for the entire country,” noted Maxim Liksutov.

At the Lassard company, the participants got acquainted with the stages of production of modern laser equipment, which is in demand in transport and heavy engineering, the aerospace industry, construction and instrument‑making. At the Neoros enterprise, future managers learned how the country’s most advanced optical transceivers, multiplexers, and other products in the microelectronics industry are developed and manufactured. This high‑tech domestic equipment is now used by telecom operators, banks, and marketplaces. The program participants also visited the Technored enterprise, where industrial robots are produced. The smart machines manufactured in Moscow increase process efficiency not only in the capital but are also supplied to Samara, Smolensk, Chelyabinsk, Nizhny Novgorod, and other cities across Russia. At the Nex‑T company, guests were shown devices that the SEZ resident produces based on its own liquid‑crystal modules and motherboards with domestic processors. These include interactive panels, universal monoblocks, touch screens, transparent displays, children’s interactive tables, projection solutions, and equipment for video conferencing.

In addition, young professionals visited the Shared Use Center of the SEZ “Technopolis Moscow”. The facility helps the city’s industrial enterprises solve problems related to production and scientific‑technical cooperation. Among the key areas of work are high‑quality metalworking, R&D, engineering, and technology consulting.

The Technopolis Moscow Special Economic Zone is celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2026. Over two decades, the project has transformed from a launchpad for innovative projects into a key hub for domestic industry and a magnet for companies that define Russia’s technological sovereignty. Today, production of more than 240 high‑tech enterprises representing such strategic areas as microelectronics, instrument engineering, biomedicine, IT, and robotics is located across 10 sites of the Technopolis Moscow special economic zone, with a total area of 430 hectares.
