An AI accelerator for robots and smart city systems was presented at the Innoprom exhibition

A resident of the special economic zone (SEZ) “Technopolis Moscow” has developed the country’s first neural network accelerator, LinQ HX, for embedded systems based on a domestic microprocessor. The device is fully assembled from Russian components and does not require foreign licenses. This was announced by Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry.

“On the instructions of Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, the city is supporting manufacturers of domestic microelectronics. One of the residents of the capital’s SEZ has created a module that can replace foreign AI accelerators.” The computational core here is a Russian microchip for artificial intelligence — a product of the company’s own development. The microchip is included in the register of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade. The company received resident status in 2025, and during this time it has invested nearly 800 million rubles in its development, including R&D,” said Maxim Liksutov.

The device’s developer is the company “KhayTek”. The accelerator it created processes data in real time — without connecting to the internet or cloud servers. Its performance reaches 30 trillion operations per second, which makes it possible to run up to five neural networks simultaneously with a latency of 1.5 to 2.3 milliseconds. The module supports a wide range of interfaces — from sensors and cameras to control systems. The power consumption does not exceed 40 watts.

Currently, the solution is not used in urban infrastructure, but in the future it may be applied in video surveillance systems for the automatic detection of abnormal situations. The technology will also help create more autonomous robots capable of navigating space and independently performing complex tasks. Another area of focus is medicine: based on the new development, it is possible to create AI‑based diagnostic systems and round‑the‑clock monitoring of patients’ condition.

The development was presented at the international industrial exhibition “Innoprom‑2026”. Earlier, Sergei Sobyanin announced that more than 50 exhibits were presented at the Moscow Government’s stand in total. A number of advanced solutions were created by residents of the “Technopolis Moscow” special economic zone — the flagship of the capital’s high‑tech industry.
