According to the results of the first quarter of 2026, residents of the Technopolis Moscow Special Economic zone (SEZ) invested almost 10 billion rubles in the production of high-tech medical products. This is 1.1 times more than in the same period last year, said Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry.

"On behalf of Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, the city provides comprehensive support to strategically important industries. On the basis of the capital's SEZ, more than 10 resident enterprises are developing and manufacturing innovative medical equipment for emergency care, bionic prostheses, glucose meters, devices for ultrasound diagnostics and artificial lung ventilation. Their total investments during their work in the special economic zone amounted to almost 10 billion rubles, and the number of jobs created exceeded a thousand," Maxim Liksutov said.

The resident has become the leader in terms of investments, which is preparing to launch the production of titanium implants and components for orthopedics and traumatology. The company has already invested 3.6 billion rubles in development. In addition, more than 2.3 billion rubles were allocated by the manufacturer of medical devices for dental patients.

Nine resident enterprises are investing in research and development activities. Total investments in science and development exceed one billion rubles. The leaders in this indicator were manufacturers of bionic prostheses and emergency care products, which allocated more than 770 million rubles.

Technopolis Moscow Special Economic Zone celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2026. Over two decades, the project has transformed from a launching pad for innovative projects into a key hub for the domestic industry and a center of attraction for companies that determine Russia's technological sovereignty. Today, the production of more than 240 high-tech enterprises representing such strategic areas as microelectronics, instrumentation, biomedicine, IT and robotics is localized at 10 sites of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ with a total area of 430 hectares.

Moscow is actively developing the investment climate and industrial potential. Thanks to urban solutions, labor productivity and production efficiency are increasing. The events taking place within this framework contribute to the implementation of the national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy".
