Modern screening facilities with artificial intelligence (AI) have been installed on the river piers near Gorky Park and the Kolomenskoye Museum-Reserve. The equipment was created by Technopolis Moscow, a resident of the special economic zone (SEZ). Five more such introscopes have been operating at the Severny Rechnoy Vokzal for more than five years. This was announced by Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry.
"In 2025, passenger traffic along the Moskva River reached 4.5 million people, which is an absolute record for the last 30 years. In 2026, it is expected to grow by almost half a million more. This dynamic requires a high level of security. New introscopes with AI monitor potential threats around the clock and give a signal only when there is a real danger. This will help to avoid queues at river piers during the peak of summer navigation. In total, during his work in the SEZ of the capital, the resident produced innovative products worth 10.7 billion rubles," Maxim Liksutov said.
Diagnostics-M company is one of the largest Russian manufacturers of inspection equipment. For the berths, the company has developed compact installations with an inspection tunnel measuring 520 by 320 millimeters. They are suitable for cramped entrance areas of city berths and handle various types of luggage — from small handbags to roomy backpacks.
The main feature is the built—in neural network trained on more than 8.5 million real images. The system highlights suspicious areas with colored markers and determines what exactly is causing the alarm. For example, she may notice separate batteries and wires in different compartments of the backpack, and also distinguishes a prohibited object from a toy. In 2025, the company released 334 introscopes with AI, of which 42 units are of this model.
Technopolis Moscow Special Economic Zone celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2026. During this time, the project has transformed from a launching pad for innovative projects into a key hub for domestic industry and a center that attracts the attention of companies that determine Russia's technological sovereignty. Today, the production of more than 240 high-tech enterprises is localized at 10 sites with a total area of 430 hectares. They represent such strategic areas as microelectronics, instrumentation, biomedicine, information technology and robotics. 33 thousand highly qualified jobs have been created here.
Moscow is actively developing industrial complexes and enterprises related to the transport system. The city's support allows them to increase production efficiency and develop human resources. This contributes to the implementation of the national project "Production of transport".
