Technofootball-2026 tournament started in Technopolis Moscow SEZ

For the fourth year in a row, Technopolis Moscow SEZ has become a venue for an open mini-football tournament. This year, 20 teams representing enterprises of the special economic zone will compete for the capital's SEZ cup. The corporate championship, which is organized as part of the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the SEZ, started on June 3. This was announced by Gennady Degtev, Director General of the Technopolis Moscow special Economic Zone.

"Technopolis Moscow SEZ represents an entire ecosystem of more than 240 innovative enterprises. Over 200 different events are held here annually as part of the development of the business environment. The corporate mini‑football championship, which has been held since 2023, is enjoying great success. A record number of 20 teams are participating in the current tournament. The competition will be held at the Arena Play Technopolis sports complex, which was built at the Alabushevo site to ensure the physical and social well–being of workers in the industrial area," said Gennady Degtev.

This year, seven new teams joined the Technofootball 2026 championship. The expansion of the standings occurred, among other things, by replenishing the pool of residents and opening new companies. By the end of 2025 alone, 15 high-tech production facilities were launched in the SEZ of Moscow. The referees of the championship are representatives of the national Amateur Football League. The event was launched by Ruslan Nigmatullin, a participant in the 2002 World Cup as part of the Russian national football team.

The capital creates the basis for the technological sovereignty of the country.
