Manufacturers of microelectronics, optical devices and innovative electronics operating in the Technopolis Moscow Special Economic Zone (SEZ) have invested 245.6 billion rubles in high-tech production. This is almost 2.4 times more than in the same period last year, said Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry.

"In the SEZ "Technopolis Moscow” successfully develops microelectronics and photonics enterprises. Thanks to the city's support, which is provided on behalf of Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, companies can increase capacity, modernize factories and invest money in scientific research. At the end of the first quarter of 2026, the total volume of investments in this sector exceeded 245.6 billion rubles. This is almost 2.4 times more than in the same period last year," Maxim Liksutov said.

Companies that develop and manufacture chips using 90-nanometer technology, printed circuit boards, optoelectronic devices, and design microcircuits have become leaders in investments over the entire period of the Territory's operation. The total volume of their investments exceeded 222 billion rubles. In the first quarter of 2026, the production of photonic products for telecommunications was launched in the Technopolis Moscow SEZ. Investments in its development exceeded 4.5 billion rubles.

One of the residents, a manufacturer of Russian ATMs, expanded the assembly line to fulfill an offset contract with the city for the supply of ticket sales devices. 150 million rubles will be allocated for modernization. Another company has launched import-substituting production of equipment for the electric grid and transport infrastructure. Such devices help to quickly find accidents and adjust the operation of power grids.

Technopolis Moscow Special Economic Zone celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2026. Over two decades, the project has grown from a launching pad for innovation to a key hub of the domestic industry. Today, more than 240 high-tech enterprises operate on 10 sites of the SEZ with a total area of more than 430 hectares. They are developing microelectronics, instrumentation, biomedicine, IT, and robotics.

The capital creates the basis for the technological sovereignty of the country. Thanks to urban solutions and support measures, residents of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ are increasing the production of innovative products and expanding their presence in global markets. This contributes to the implementation of the national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy".
