At the XXIX St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), residents of the Technopolis Moscow Special Economic Zone (SEZ) signed three agreements on the development of domestic electronics. The capital is localizing the production of computer equipment, automotive multimedia systems and payment terminals. This was announced by Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry.
"On behalf of Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, the city has created a SEZ "Technopolis Moscow has some of the best conditions for high-tech enterprises in the country. Residents are exempt from paying property tax, land and transport taxes for 10 years, and the income tax rate for them is only two percent. The company uses the saved funds to expand production, develop new products and create high-paying jobs. Today, more than 240 high-tech companies operate in the SEZ. At the SPIEF, the residents signed three strategic agreements in the field of electronics for the automotive and IT industries, as well as the banking sector," Maxim Liksutov said.
For example, the Nex-T company, together with the Moskvich technocluster, will produce Russian automotive multimedia systems. These are complexes that combine car control, navigation, climate control, an audio recorder and a video player. The resident has already developed headsets. In 2025, the company produced a new generation touchscreen display for the Russian Atom electric car, which is integrated into the steering wheel and allows the driver to safely operate the systems without being distracted from the road.
Another agreement was signed with Irbis, a manufacturer of portable electronics. The production of computer monitors, laptops, and consumer electronics is being localized at the facilities of Nex-T.
The capital's developer of self-service devices, Banking and Financial Systems, has signed an agreement with PSB Bank and the Innovative Engineering Center. The parties agreed to create Russian payment terminals and software solutions. The company manufactures ATMs, payment terminals, ticket machines with biometric cameras, NFC modules, barcode and QR code readers, and fraud protection. The resident also develops its own software for device management, monitoring, and integration with banking and government systems.
Earlier, at the XXIX St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin signed a memorandum on the establishment of Russia's first full-cycle energy storage testing and certification center in the Technopolis Moscow SEZ. In addition, an agreement was signed on the construction of a high-tech plant for the production of live vaccines against chickenpox, rotavirus, measles, rubella and mumps. The new company will be launched in 2029.
Technopolis Moscow Special Economic Zone celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2026. Over two decades, the project has transformed from a launching pad for innovation into a key hub for the domestic industry. Today, there are already 10 SEZ sites, and their total area is more than 430 hectares. They have localized the production of over 240 high-tech enterprises. They work in such strategic areas as microelectronics, instrumentation, biomedicine, IT and robotics.
Moscow is actively developing high-tech industries. Thanks to urban solutions, investors receive platforms with tax benefits and can bring innovative products to the market. This contributes to the implementation of the national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy".
