Technopolis Moscow is Russia's largest special economic zone in terms of investment volume

Today, more than 240 high-tech enterprises are concentrated in the SEZ, 129 of which have resident status.

Over the past 10 years, the Technopolis Moscow Special Economic Zone (SEZ) has become the largest in Russia both in terms of investments and the area of operating enterprises. The issue of its development was discussed at a meeting of the Presidium of the Moscow Government.

Technopolis Moscow SEZ is a territory with a special legal status, which has a preferential business regime for investors. It was established in 2006, but its active development began after the transfer of the project to the Moscow Government in September 2016.

SEZ residents are exempt from property, transport and land taxes for 10 years from the date of obtaining the status. The income tax rate for them is only two percent. There is a free customs zone regime here, as well as land lease benefits.

10 sites hosting high-tech enterprises of the SEZ occupy more than 430 hectares. Industrial and public-business facilities with a total area of over 2.1 million square meters have been built there. By 2030, it is planned to increase this volume almost three times to 5.7 million square meters.

By the end of 2025, the total volume of private and budgetary investments in the development of industry in the SEZ amounted to 493 billion rubles. It is planned that by 2030, total investments will increase 2.4 times to 1.2 trillion rubles.

Over 1.5 thousand services are available to residents in their personal account on the SEZ website. In addition, there are some services that are regulated by the customer's terms of reference, such as the manufacture of parts and components in shared use centers that currently operate at the Pechatniki and Rudnevo sites.

Today, more than 240 high-tech enterprises are located in the SEZ, 129 of which have resident status. More than 30 thousand jobs have been created. Full—fledged clusters have been opened that unite enterprises of the same or related industries - pharmaceutical, electric vehicle, elevator, photonics and microelectronics, as well as unmanned aircraft systems.

SEZ resident companies produce modern medicines, medical products, microelectronics, machine tools, robotics, elevators, batteries, innovative products for the space industry, components for electric vehicles and new materials.

In 2025, the total area of industrial, administrative, business and social infrastructure of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ increased by 500 thousand square meters. At the expense of the city budget, 10 facilities with a total area of 328 thousand square meters were created, at the expense of private investors — four facilities with a total area of 168 thousand square meters. Among the key projects of the SEZ in 2025:

— The Moscow Photonics Center (with an area of 26.7 thousand square meters and a capacity of up to 500 thousand products per year) is the only enterprise in Russia that mass—produces photonic integrated circuits (FIS), as well as the only site in the world that uses three technologies at once that can increase data transfer speed by 100 times. With the opening of this production facility, Moscow photonics will become the basis for the introduction of the 5G data transmission standard in Russia, the development of artificial intelligence, the construction of new data centers and, in general, for technological leadership in creating critical infrastructure.;

— Generium-Next (area — 28.1 thousand square meters, capacity — up to 5.4 million vials per year) is a full—cycle high-tech enterprise for the production of ready-made dosage forms of complex genetically engineered drugs for patients with orphan and other socially significant diseases, including bronchial asthma, idiopathic urticaria, Gaucher's disease, cystic fibrosis, cardiovascular diseases, as well as rare blood diseases and kidney disorders;

— Bureau 1440 (4.5 thousand square meters) is a solar battery manufacturing company that provides a full production cycle for its own communication spacecraft, from the formation of a photogenerating layer to the manufacture of frames, deployment systems and control units;

— Monarch Combine of Innovative Technologies (area — over 161 thousand square meters, capacity — up to 450 thousand square meters of modules per year) is one of the world's largest enterprises producing large—sized modules for the construction of residential buildings, schools, kindergartens, administrative and other buildings;

— Raytibor (area — more than 2.1 thousand square meters, capacity — over five million products per year) is an automated enterprise for the production of electronic equipment that runs on domestic software, including mobile phones and tablet computers;

— the flight test complex (with an area of 17.6 thousand square meters) is the country's largest complex for testing advanced developments in the field of unmanned aircraft systems, which includes a flight hangar, an aviation training center, a boathouse for aircraft storage, a runway and other facilities;

— the center for practical training "Professions of the future" in Pechatniki (area — nine thousand square meters, capacity — 15 thousand qualified specialists per year) — here adults can master modern professions, gain new skills in demand on the labor market or upgrade their qualifications in a maximum of three months, and college students can complete an internship;

— Technopolis Moscow SEZ Collective Use Center (area — 1.5 thousand square meters) — here industrial enterprises, including residents of the SEZ, can place an order for the design and manufacture of additional components, assemblies and parts necessary for the main production, and receive a full range of services — from the development of design and technical documentation to production and intellectual property protection.
