A foresight session "Cluster development of the new Economy. The electric vehicle driver of Moscow's industry"

Experts discussed the impact of the development of the electric mobility and technology industry on the city's economy. This was announced by Gennady Degtev, General Director of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ.

"Moscow's SEZ produces electric drives, photopolymer products, microelectronics, carbon fiber, laser equipment, head-mounted multimedia devices, lithium-ion batteries, composite body elements and components, interior and exterior parts for the automotive industry. Our task is to move from accumulating technologies to building a cluster model in which each enterprise does not operate in isolation, but as part of a single high–tech production chain," said Gennady Degtev.

At the session "Economics of Electric Mobility", experts discussed the impact of industry development and technology on the Moscow economy. Special attention was paid to the development of cooperative ties between enterprises, as well as the issues of involving new companies in the cluster, attracting development institutions.

A special guest of the foresight session, Yu Zhouping, professor at Shanghai Tongji University, director of the National Innovation Center for New Energy Vehicles, one of the architects of the Chinese electric vehicle development program, initiator of the state program for the development of advanced technologies, which laid the scientific and technological foundation of the industry, spoke about China's experience, and also gave recommendations to representatives of the Moscow electric vehicle cluster.

Following the results of the foresight session, a resolution was adopted on the formation of a cluster working group consisting of representatives of industrial enterprises, the scientific community, and international experts to develop and further implement a comprehensive program for the electric vehicle industry.

In addition, a roadmap will be drawn up to localize the production of parts and components for electric vehicles in Moscow.
