The first Russian microfocus X-ray devices have been mass-produced in the Technopolis Moscow Special Economic Zone (SEZ). Such installations make it possible to carry out non—destructive testing of industrial products - diagnostics and search for microdefects without damaging the sample. This was announced by Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry. "On behalf of Sergei Sobyanin, the city provides favorable conditions for high-tech industries. Residents of the special economic zone receive tax benefits, access to developed infrastructure and comprehensive support. This helps companies focus on the most important thing — creating new solutions. One of them is microfocus X—ray machines. The production facilities allow to produce up to 60 devices per year with the possibility of further increasing volumes. Investments in the creation of products amounted to 200 million rubles," said Maxim Liksutov. The devices are used for 3D computed tomography and 2D X-ray imaging of metals, ceramics, polymers, composites and light alloys. The accuracy of the equipment is up to two microns, which is 20-40 times thinner than a human hair. The device is assembled on its own component base based on the resident's patented designs. The project was implemented with the support of the Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education and the country's leading technical universities. The development and release were set up by the company "Diagnostics-M." In 2026, the company mastered the production of collapsible microfocus X-ray sources of the PPT-160 and PPT-225 models. The company is one of the leaders in the field of inspection equipment. Each product is based on its own scientific research and development work. This approach makes it possible to create unique software and hardware solutions for the mechanical engineering, aerospace, and electronics industries. The manufacturer's equipment operates at airports, train stations, stadiums, as well as in customs offices and the subway. The installations ensure safety at the facilities of Russian Post, Rosatom State Corporation, Russian Railways, as well as PJSC MOESK. The resident's inspection and inspection complexes are also installed at key automobile checkpoints on the state border of the Russian Federation. Technopolis Moscow Special Economic Zone celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2026. During this time, the project has transformed from a launching pad for innovative projects into a key hub for domestic industry and a center that attracts the attention of companies that determine Russia's technological sovereignty. Today, the production of more than 240 high-tech enterprises is localized at 10 sites with a total area of 392 hectares. They represent such strategic areas as microelectronics, instrumentation, biomedicine, information technology and robotics. 30,000 highly qualified jobs have been created here. Moscow is actively developing platforms for the creation of high-tech products. Thanks to urban solutions, SEZ residents receive the necessary conditions for the development and rapid launch of new lines. Such events contribute to the development of the national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy" and strengthen industrial potential.
