Moscow enterprises make a great contribution to solving the strategic task of ensuring the technological sovereignty of the country. The developments cover various fields, from medicine and pharmaceuticals to microelectronics and mechanical engineering. Sergei Sobyanin spoke about the leading metropolitan industries that allow maintaining technological independence in his blog. "The Technopolis Moscow Special Economic Zone has become a key platform for creating new technological solutions. There are over 240 companies operating here in the fields of microelectronics and photonics, medicine and pharmaceuticals, mechanical engineering and machine tools, as well as aviation, space and electric vehicles," Sergei Sobyanin wrote. Zelenograd is home to the country's only mass production facility for chips up to 90 nanometers. The leading manufacturer ensuring technological independence in this field is JSC Micron. The company's developments include the first Russian Amur microcontroller (RISC-V) and microchips in plastic cases released on the new line. In addition, together with the Moscow Government, the plant created the Moscow Microelectronics Testing Laboratory at the Alabushevo site. This will allow you to abandon the services of foreign companies. In 2025, Artsellens (Promomed Group of Companies) opened a modern complex in Pechatniki for the production of diabetes and oncology drugs with a capacity of up to 30 million units per year. By 2027, the company will begin manufacturing drugs for the treatment of cancer and autoimmune diseases. To implement this strategic project, the production was located in the Technopolis Moscow Special Economic Zone (SEZ). The status of its resident allows you to receive tax benefits and invest the saved funds in the development of new solutions. Another resident of the SEZ is PK-137 LLC (biotechnological company Biocad). Since 2021, it has released more than six million packages of vital medicines, including for the treatment of cancer and multiple sclerosis, including the first Russian original drug, divozilimab. In 2017, the company and the Moscow Department of Health signed Russia's first offset contract. It provides for the release of medicines included in the list of vital and essential medicines, and their subsequent delivery to medical institutions in the capital. The agreement allowed the city to reduce the price of medicines. In addition, the region has received high-tech production, guaranteed supplies of high-quality Russian pharmaceutical products and new jobs. The scientific and Production Association "Scanner" has created a line of expert ultrasound devices with artificial intelligence. At the same time, the company began to localize unique anesthesia and respiratory equipment that has no analogues on the Russian market. This project will be another important step in the development of domestic medical instrumentation. The company has the status of a resident of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ, which allows it to receive tax benefits and direct the released funds to the development of new medical equipment and accelerated product launch in the city and the country. Another resident of the special economic zone is JSC TZMOI, one of the leading Russian manufacturers of medical equipment for infection control. In 2025, the company began mass production of the latest PHS M series steam sterilizers for instrument sterilization in medical institutions of various profiles. The models are equipped with large touch screens, a water-saving system and have low power consumption. Previously, such equipment was supplied mainly from European countries. Today, the products of the Moscow company are used almost all over Russia — from Kaliningrad to Vladivostok. The company received a grant from the Moscow Innovation Cluster to expand production. This made it possible to purchase additional equipment, increase the serial production of products of our own design and improve the creation of new high-tech products. "The success of Moscow enterprises in the development and implementation of high-tech projects confirms the effectiveness of urban industry support. The capital's manufacturers are strengthening the country's technological sovereignty. Thanks to the synergy between government and business, the capital has become a confident engine for the development of modern industry," Sergei Sobyanin added.
