Technopolis Moscow, a resident of the special economic zone (SEZ), has released a new line of orthopedic shoes for people with diabetes, lymphostasis and acromegaly. The production is located at the Pechatniki site, and the company's products are included in the state register of products of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. This was announced by Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry. "The Moscow SEZ medical cluster develops and manufactures innovative products that are in demand in Russia and abroad. Tax incentives and preferences, which are provided on behalf of Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, allow companies to conduct intellectual activities and invest in research and development. For example, a manufacturer of orthopedic shoes has eight patents for its products," said Maxim Liksutov. The new line, developed by Ortomoda, is designed to prevent diabetic complications. As explained by CEO Natalia Volkova, the shoe design minimizes pressure and friction on the foot, preventing the appearance of injuries, ulcers and deformities. The outsole with a roll evenly distributes the load, and the toe part is raised by 15 millimeters, which reduces walking efforts. Microfiber is used for interior decoration, and the absence of seams eliminates the risk of scuffs. A special pad has also been developed for the model, which creates additional internal volume and allows the use of an orthopedic insole. Technopolis Moscow Special Economic Zone celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2026. During this time, the project has transformed from a launching pad for innovative projects into a key hub of the domestic industry and a center of attraction for companies that determine Russia's technological sovereignty. Today, the production of more than 240 high-tech enterprises is localized at 10 sites with a total area of 392 hectares. They represent such strategic areas as microelectronics, instrumentation, biomedicine, IT and robotics. 30,000 highly qualified jobs have been created here. Moscow is actively developing industrial complexes and enterprises. The city's support allows them to increase production efficiency and develop human resources. The events taking place within this framework contribute to the implementation of the national project "Means of production and Automation".
