Technopolis Moscow SEZ resident jointly with RTU MIREA has developed an educational laboratory kit on photonics

The resident of the Technopolis Moscow Special economic zone (hereinafter referred to as the SEZ), LASSARD Company, together with the Russian Technological University MIREA (hereinafter referred to as RTU MIREA), has developed an educational laboratory kit. The development is intended for studying the basics of optical spectroscopy and conducting practical classes on photonics in higher educational institutions. The set includes: - light source and adjustable slits; - lenses, diffraction gratings, dispersion prism; - mounts, optical tabletop, spectrum viewing screen; - photodetector and test objects. Using the developed laboratory kit, students master the following practical competencies: - measurement and analysis of spectral characteristics of various radiation sources; - evaluation of the effect of the slit width on the resolution of the spectrometer; - calculation of the optical characteristics of the prism material based on angular measurements; - conducting experiments to measure the absorption of light by samples of two-dimensional structures; - the observation of the spectra is carried out directly on the screen, which ensures the visual presentation of the results and the convenience of perception of the educational material. The creation of the educational laboratory kit "LASSARD" and RTU MIREA has the following strategic values: - for the higher education system, it provides training of qualified personnel in the field of photonics and optical spectroscopy, equipping educational laboratories with modern domestic equipment. - for industry — contributes to the formation of a talent pool for high-tech enterprises, including residents of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ, specializing in laser and optical technologies; - for technological sovereignty — reduces dependence on imported educational and laboratory equipment in critical areas of science and technology.
