Technopolis Moscow, a resident of the special economic zone, has commissioned an assembly and testing complex (SBIC), which will produce up to 200,000 microchips per month. It will create and test a complex electronic component base, for example, the development of Russian design centers, which today face limited access to modern technologies. This was announced by Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry.
"Under the leadership of Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, the capital's microelectronics production is actively developing. Over 40 companies manufacturing microelectronic products operate on the basis of the Technopolis Moscow special economic zone alone. One of the residents has commissioned over 1,200 square meters of modern production facilities, including clean areas that meet international quality standards. The company's investments in the project, which opened 25 new jobs, exceeded 300 million rubles," said Maxim Liksutov.
The new ZNTC assembly and testing facility will accelerate the entry of strategically important products into the domestic market. One of the key achievements of the site will be the introduction in Russia of technology for assembling microcircuits into polymer enclosures. This will make it possible to create domestic high-performance processors and specialized computing modules used in data centers, telecommunications and aviation.
Another strategic focus of the resident will be the production of full-cycle high—voltage and microwave electronics based on gallium nitride on silicon, a key material for next-generation microcircuits. It allows you to create more compact, powerful, and energy-efficient devices that are used in power supplies, charging stations, 5G base stations, and electric vehicles.
For reference
Technopolis Moscow Special Economic Zone celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2026. Over two decades, the project has transformed from a launching pad for innovative projects into a key hub for the domestic industry and a center of attraction for companies that determine Russia's technological sovereignty.
Today, the production of more than 240 high-tech enterprises representing such strategic areas as microelectronics, instrumentation, biomedicine, IT and robotics is localized at 10 sites of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ with a total area of 392 hectares. The number of highly qualified jobs created is 30,000.
