A resident of the Moscow SEZ has produced more than six million packages of medicines for the treatment of oncological diseases

Since 2021, Technopolis Moscow, a resident of the Technopolis Moscow special economic zone and a member of the pharmaceutical cluster, has produced 6.3 million packages of medicines for the treatment of oncological and autoimmune diseases. This was announced by Anatoly Garbuzov, Minister of the Moscow Government and Head of the Investment and Industrial Policy Department.

"We pay special attention to supporting the pharmaceutical industry. Companies receive assistance in the form of tax preferences, sales guarantee contracts, and other measures. Thus, the resident of the Technopolis Moscow special economic zone, the PC—137 production complex of the Biocad biotechnology company, has produced 6.3 million packages of medicines for the treatment of oncological and autoimmune diseases since 2021, and last year delivered 600,000 packages of finished products to medical institutions in the capital," Anatoly Garbuzov said.

The city began receiving the first medicines under a contract with the manufacturer in 2021. Since that moment, 2.3 million medicines have been delivered to the capital.

The company's production site, built in Alabushev under a sales guarantee contract, has launched the production of 18 international nonproprietary names included in the list of vital and essential medicines of the Russian Federation.

In 2022, the company started operating a high-tech site for the production of liquid dosage forms. In 2024, the release of the first Russian original drug divozilimab, a drug for the treatment of multiple sclerosis, began.

The pharmaceutical complex, which covers an area of 43 thousand square meters, is equipped with high-tech equipment using advanced engineering solutions.
