Moscow's developments in the field of transport are used not only in the city, but also in other regions of the country. For example, industrial companies are creating solutions for a new high-speed highway (HSR). A resident of the Technopolis Moscow special economic zone has imported components for electric traction trains, and the cable plant has provided a special wire for the reliability of the contact network. This was announced by Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry.

Earlier, Sergei Sobyanin spoke about what the city produces for the transport industry. The mayor noted innovations to improve the comfort of drivers and passengers: modern lighting, road signs, intelligent traffic light control systems.

"Moscow is actively involved in the construction of the Moscow—St. Petersburg high-speed railway. This large-scale infrastructure project by Russian President Vladimir Putin will reduce travel time between the capitals to just over two hours and connect the largest economic centers, improving the quality of life of approximately 40 million people. The city's enterprises are also involved in the creation of HSR. Thus, a resident of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ has developed an important component of the traction electric drive. In the second quarter of 2026, the company plans to launch mass production of condensers for HSR trains. This is a landmark event that closes a critically important issue in the chain of import substitution of traction electrical equipment," said Maxim Liksutov.

The solution was created by Yukon Energy and fully complies with global analogues in all critical technical parameters. At the end of 2025, the traction electric drive for HSR trains with a Moscow condenser was successfully tested. At the same time, its weight is reduced by five percent, which ensures higher energy efficiency than its imported counterparts. This is an important advantage, since the device that serves as a "shield" for the entire electrical system is its most vulnerable component. Thus, the resident has made a key contribution to the technological sovereignty of domestic transport.

The capital's Moskabel Plant is also involved in the HSR project. The company supplies products for the contact network — a special shaped single-wire wire. It is a technologically sophisticated product designed for use under conditions of high mechanical loads and heavy train traffic. It will help to ensure the stability of the system in case of an accident, for example, in case of a contact wire breakage.

"We are carrying out serious scientific and engineering work, creating unique products capable of operating in highly complex and high-speed areas. HSR is a movement of up to 400 km/h, and every detail of the infrastructure must be impeccable. Our philosophy is based on technological development and customer orientation. Previously, we supplied 100 tons of copper support cable for the construction of the Sochi—Adler railway line for the 2014 Olympics, and today we are once again participating in the implementation of a federal—scale project," said Pavel Moryakov, CEO of Moskabelmet Group.

At the same time, the cable production technology for HSR was optimized using artificial intelligence algorithms, which made it possible to achieve mechanical strength indicators that ensure the stable operation of the infrastructure when trains travel at speeds up to 400 kilometers per hour.
