The publication reveals the technical aspects of the industry — from the history of development to the latest technological achievements.
Moscow is rightfully considered one of the world leaders in the introduction of electric transport. On behalf of Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, an interdisciplinary cluster of electric vehicles has been formed in the city on the basis of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ. A new book created by a cluster member company and the Moscow Polytechnic University tells about the heart of a modern electric vehicle — the power plant, control systems and layout solutions. This publication will become an indispensable practical guide for engineers, students of technical universities and all those who form the transport framework of the future in Russia.
The authors of the book are Dmitry Krasnov, General Director of the Scientific and Technical Center "Drive Technology", Pablo Iturralde, director of the Advanced Engineering School of Technological Leadership FDR at Moscow Polytechnic University, and Georgy Onishchenko, an expert in the field of electrical engineering. They describe the advanced technologies that underlie the best production models of electric vehicles.
A significant part of the publication is devoted to the Russian market and its developments. Electrification of public, commercial and communal transport is being considered in detail, an area where Moscow is already showing real results. The plans for entering the market of new domestic technologies created in the context of import substitution are analyzed. In addition, the authors propose a set of measures to accelerate the development of the industry in Russia.: from improving the regulatory framework and charging infrastructure to localizing the production of key components and training young professionals.
