Six young scientists from the National Research University MIET have received awards from the Moscow Government

Sergei Sobyanin presented the Moscow Government's 2025 prizes to young scientists. Traditionally, prizes are awarded for achievements in natural sciences, engineering and humanities, as well as for the development and implementation of innovations in the economy and social sphere of the capital. The award ceremony was timed to coincide with the Day of Russian Science, which was celebrated on February 8.

"Congratulations on the last Russian Science Day. And most importantly, with your well-deserved awards and victory in the competition for the Moscow City Award. The competition was not easy. There were about 30 applicants for each place, so you won a serious, honest, competitive fight. Congratulations to you," said the Mayor of Moscow.

Last year, 1,404 applications were submitted from employees of more than 300 organizations. 77 young scientists, whose developments and research have already proven themselves in practice, became laureates of the awards. Six representatives of the scientific community of the National Research University MIET are among them.:

— Igor Bobrovsky, Senior Researcher at the Institute of Advanced Materials and Technologies of the National Research University MIET, Professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences. He presented technologies and equipment for finishing machining parts of various machines. His developments are of high applied importance and are being actively implemented in Moscow's production facilities, including electronic engineering enterprises.;

— Ilya Gavrilin, Researcher at the Institute of Advanced Materials and Technologies of the National Research University MIET and the Frumkin Institute of Physical Chemistry and Electrochemistry of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IFHE RAS). He developed scientific foundations and new technological approaches to the creation of promising nanostructured materials for energy conversion and storage systems;

— Artyom Loginov, engineer at NIU MIET and the leading designer of the Instrument Engineering Department of JSC Plant PROTON. He developed the world's first satellite probe microscope at the plant for high-precision monitoring of micro-damage to materials in outer space. It has been orbiting the Earth since 2023. The data obtained with its help allows us to evaluate the durability of materials and increase the reliability of structures for future manned interplanetary missions and orbital stations.;

— Kirill Lyubavin, post-graduate student at the Institute of Integrated Electronics of the National Research University MIET, employee of JSC "Craftway Corporation PLC". He conducted research, developed and put into mass production the controller microcircuit for solid-state information storage devices (SSDs) and the final products of SSDs based on it.;

— Anton Novikov, together with Olga Zagidullina, leading engineers of NIIME JSC, graduates of the Institute of Integrated Electronics of the National Research University MIET, have developed and introduced into production a wide range of domestic OLED microdisplays.

The competition for the Moscow Government Prizes for young scientists has been held since 2013, when the relevant decree of the Moscow Government was signed.
