1.2 trillion rubles will be invested in Technopolis Moscow SEZ by 2030

Technopolis Moscow Special Economic Zone has turned 20 years old. It is expected that by 2030 the volume of investments in the SEZ will reach 1.2 trillion rubles, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said in his channel in the MAX messenger.

"On January 18, 2006, an agreement was signed between the Government of Russia and the Government of Moscow on the creation of a special economic zone of a technical and innovative type in the capital. It was transferred to the city administration in September 2016 and has increased several times since then," the mayor recalled.

To date, more than 2 million square meters have been created on the territory of the SEZ. m of modern industrial and office infrastructure. There are over 240 companies operating here, which have created more than 30 thousand jobs.

Technopolis Moscow produces unique products for the needs of the capital, the state and foreign partners. Last year, several high-tech industries were launched in the SEZ.

"We develop and manufacture advanced engineering equipment for the petrochemical industry, industry and water treatment systems. On the territory of the SEZ "Technopolis Moscow“ the company has been operating since 2015, and last year it received the status of a resident. Thanks to the modern infrastructure of the special economic zone and government support, in particular tax benefits, enterprises have the opportunity to significantly optimize funds, actively develop scientific research and innovation, and increase production volumes. This is especially important for high-tech enterprises like ours. Thanks to the favorable conditions of the SEZ, VDK solutions increase the reliability of industrial and utility enterprises — not only in Moscow, but also nationwide," said General Director of VDK (part of the Polyplastic Group). Maxim Novikov.

The total volume of private and public investments in the development of industry in the capital's special economic zone is approaching 490 billion rubles. According to plans, by 2030, total investments will grow 2.4 times and amount to 1.2 trillion rubles.

"Our company creates high-tech power modules based on domestic elements that are used in computing, medical equipment, and aerospace systems. This is a complex production that requires high competence, scientific and technical resources and investments in research and development. The status of a resident of the Moscow SEZ, obtained in 2017, provides attractive conditions: tax benefits and a wide range of supportive services. These measures make it possible to reduce costs, plan for the introduction of innovations, maintain a high level of localization of production and provide Russian enterprises with high—tech products in demand," said Emelian Polyansky, CEO of Electroninvest.

The Moscow Department of Investment and Industrial Policy added that the construction of new facilities in the SEZ continues. In total, 11 industrial and public-business facilities were commissioned in the SEZ of Moscow in 2025, 7 of which were built with the participation of the city, and the rest were funded by private investors.
