Technopolis Moscow Special Economic Zone — 20 years old

As Sergei Sobyanin recalled in his blog, on January 18, 2006, an agreement was signed between the Government of Russia and the Government of Moscow on the creation of a special economic zone of a technical and innovative type in the capital. It was transferred to the city administration in September 2016 and has since increased several times.

Currently, there are more than 2 million square meters in the SEZ. m of high-tech industrial and public-business infrastructure. More than 240 companies are operating, and more than 30,000 jobs have been created.

Technopolis Moscow produces rare products for the needs of the city, the country and foreign partners. For example, several breakthrough enterprises were launched last year.

In May, the Technorad company's unique robocenter was launched. Its opening made it possible to increase the company's industrial capacity for the production of robotics, which significantly increases production efficiency and accelerates the growth of the country's economy.

In October, the production of innovative medicines by Generium-Next was launched at the Alabushevo site.

The manufacture of unique products, photonic integrated circuits, has recently been launched. With them, the data transfer rate will increase by 100 times. The Moscow Photonics Center is the first FIS production center in Russia.

The total volume of private and budgetary investments in the development of industry in the capital's SEZ now amounts to about 490 billion rubles. We expect that by 2030, total investments will increase 2.4 times and reach 1.2 trillion rubles.
