Technopolis Moscow SEZ has implemented the national environmental management standard

Technopolis Moscow SEZ has successfully passed the audit according to the national standard "Environmental Management Systems". The document on compliance with sustainable development practices was issued by the RUSTECHSERT certification body. This was announced by Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry.

"On behalf of Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, we continue to implement environmental solutions in the industrial sector to minimize the impact on the environment. Recently, the certification body confirmed the commitment of the SEZ “Technopolis Moscow” principles of the national standard “Environmental Management Systems". The received certificate of conformity indicates the effectiveness of the Moscow Government's measures to apply sustainable development practices in the capital's special economic zone," Maxim Liksutov said.

The standard contains recommendations that will help to effectively manage "green" projects, as well as to involve enterprises located on the territory of the capital's SEZ in a responsible attitude to nature.

The Technopolis Moscow Special Economic Zone is the largest site in the city for the placement of high-tech industries. Practices in the field of sustainable development have already been implemented here, including energy–efficient technologies, waste reuse and recycling, and optimization of water consumption. In addition, greenhouse gas emissions are recorded and monitored, and the area of green spaces is increasing annually.
