Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin have opened a practical training center for mechanical Engineering. More than 1.5 thousand qualified specialists per year will be trained at the Pechatniki site: turners, milling workers, grinders, and operators of CNC machines. In Moscow, these are sought-after and promising professions with good pay.
The new center sets the Moscow standard for professional education of the 21st century: only relevant skills, training on real production equipment and classes with master practitioners.
"During their studies at the college, each student will undergo 2,000 hours of in-depth practice. The center has 3 laboratories and 5 workshops. The equipment was manufactured by Russian companies: the BIVERTECH machine tool company, the LASSARD laser machine manufacturing company in Pechatniki, and others," Sergei Sobyanin said.
LASSARD develops unique world-class products. For example, this year the company released equipment for the growth of single crystals of gallium arsenide and germanium by vertically directed crystallization (VGF), which is available only in three countries of the world, now Russia is one of them.
This academic year, students from 6 city colleges will study at the Practical Training Center for Mechanical Engineering.
