Technopolis Moscow SEZ became the leader of the National Ranking of Special Economic Zones of the Russian Federation

For the fifth year in a row, the Technopolis Moscow SEZ has ranked first in the National Rating of Investment Attractiveness of Russian Special Economic Zones for Technology and Innovation. This was announced by Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry.

"The Technopolis Moscow SEZ is a hub for high-tech industry. At the direction of Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, a unique ecosystem for the creation of large-scale innovative production facilities is being formed here. This leadership in investment attractiveness among Russian special economic zones for technology and innovation for the fifth year in a row reflects the success and effectiveness of the Moscow Government's measures to create conditions for attracting private investment for the development of domestic industry," said Maxim Liksutov.

The capital's SEZ also took the lead in the "City within a City" category. Special attention is paid to the development of social infrastructure. For example, a sports complex was opened at the Alabushevo site this year. Furthermore, new recreational areas for city employees and residents are regularly created within the special economic zone, landscaping is carried out, and transport accessibility is improved.

The rating was prepared by the Association of Clusters, Technology Parks, and Special Economic Zones of Russia (AKIT RF) with the support of the Russian Ministry of Economic Development. It included 48 Russian special economic zones. An expert council, consisting of representatives of federal government agencies, development institutions, and businesses, analyzed the conditions for implementing investment projects.

"This rating is an important incentive for the development of all types of SEZs, facilitating investment and the creation of new high-tech industries. We have significantly expanded the criteria system, placing greater emphasis on the competencies of management companies, their ability to respond to global challenges, and the availability of innovative and social infrastructure," noted AKIT RF Director Mikhail Labudin.
