The All-Russian competition "Radiofest-2025" has begun in the Technopolis Moscow SEZ

The seventh All-Russian competition, "Radiofest-2025," has begun at the Technopolis Moscow SEZ, hosted by the National Research University of Electronic Technology (MIET). The competition aims to enhance the prestige of radio engineering professions among young people, according to Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry.

"Following the instructions of Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, we are developing high-tech industries and strengthening the prestige of engineering professions at the Technopolis Moscow SEZ. In particular, we are holding the Radiofest competition for the seventh year in a row. Such events not only popularize technical professions but also foster the emergence of new solutions aimed at improving the production of innovative products," noted Maxim Liksutov.

Approximately 160 students and young employees of Russian companies and research centers from Moscow, Voronezh, Samara, St. Petersburg, Astrakhan, Saratov, Tomsk, Orenburg, Nalchik, Krasnodar, Taganrog, Ryazan, Zelenograd, and Dolgoprudny applied to participate in Radiofest-2025.

This year, participants will strive for victory in three categories.

This includes "Radio Navigation," a competition task that involves determining the coordinates of a transmitter broadcasting a given code and hitting a target with a number corresponding to the transmitter. To do this, participants must develop a program that will determine the target's coordinates.

In the "Radio Communications" category, some teams will need to organize radio communications and transmit as much information as possible, while others will need to use special equipment to disrupt this work.

Competitors in the Radio Control category will need to remotely connect to a radio-controlled model and navigate an obstacle course on a training ground. Along the way, they will encounter traffic lights broadcasting secret codes that change every 30 seconds. Competitors must decipher these codes and broadcast a response password. This will turn the traffic light green for 8 seconds, allowing the model to proceed. Penalties are assessed for running a red light or knocking over markers along the way.

The competition is traditionally organized by MIET, the flagship university of Moscow's special economic zone. Basic information about the event can be found on the official website.
