At the Forum of Russian Special Economic Zones, the Technopolis Moscow Special Economic Zone signed a cooperation agreement with the Public Capital autonomous non-profit organization (ANO). The partnership aims to promote social and environmental programs within Moscow’s SEZ. The news was announced by Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry.
The agreement with ANO Public Capital — the official operator of the Business Social Capital Standard — is focused on evaluating and supporting the voluntary contribution of companies to humanitarian initiatives, environmental protection, and employee welfare programs.
“Under the instruction of Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, the city places special emphasis on engaging companies in developing human potential and workforce skills. We continue to expand services and create recreational infrastructure, while regularly organizing socially significant events together with resident companies of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ.
The implementation of the Business Social Capital Standard will enable a comprehensive assessment of SEZ residents’ efforts in sustainable development — from creating new jobs to investing in community projects,” said Maxim Liksutov.
The Business Social Capital Standard is the first public agreement between business and government built on the principle of shared participation in the country’s development.
“The Technopolis Moscow SEZ is an important and, one might say, strategic partner for us. Many of its residents are already actively engaged in the social capital agenda. These are companies that not only lead their industries but also set trends — including in corporate social responsibility. I am confident that our cooperation will create even more opportunities for implementing social, environmental, and other community-driven initiatives,” said Asiyat Bagatyrova, General Director of ANO Public Capital.
Under the agreement, the Technopolis Moscow SEZ and ANO Public Capital will organize joint events and facilitate the assessment of enterprises’ voluntary contributions to long-term social well-being.
“Experts have repeatedly recognized the achievements of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ in the field of sustainable development. For instance, in 2024, the SEZ became the leader in the second ESG ranking of Russian special economic zones. This new cooperation represents another step toward strengthening social and environmental responsibility — both for the Moscow SEZ itself and for the companies operating within its territory,” emphasized Gennady Degtev, CEO of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ.
