A new 14,700-square-meter office and laboratory building for research and development has been completed at the Rudnevo site of the Technopolis Moscow Special Economic Zone (SEZ). The news was announced by Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry.
“Under the instruction of Sergei Sobyanin, the city is developing a comprehensive ecosystem within the Technopolis Moscow SEZ — bringing together advanced manufacturing facilities, scientific laboratories, as well as social and recreational infrastructure accessible to residents of the capital. The new 14,700-square-meter office and laboratory building will accommodate around 400 jobs. It will host R&D laboratories, office spaces, and high-tech small-scale production facilities operated by SEZ residents,” said Maxim Liksutov.
The Rudnevo Industrial Park serves as a key site for the development of unmanned aerial systems and high-tech engineering.
“At present, more than 20 administrative, commercial, and production buildings with a total area of 440,000 square meters have been constructed in Rudnevo. The site also features a flight testing complex, prototype production facilities, and a design bureau. The new office and laboratory building is the third facility to be commissioned at the industrial park since the beginning of 2025,” said Anatoly Garbuzov, Minister of the Moscow Government and Head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy.
The facility was designed using cutting-edge approaches and advanced technologies to maximize construction efficiency.
Resident status within the Technopolis Moscow Special Economic Zone provides companies with substantial tax incentives and benefits. For example, value-added tax (VAT) on imported goods, as well as property, land, and transport taxes are fully exempt. The profit tax rate is reduced from 25 percent to just two percent. Companies operating within the SEZ establish production facilities and develop innovative products in microelectronics, pharmaceuticals, medicine, photonics, and other promising industries.
