"Moscow SEZ Enterprise Certifies Thermometers for Dust and Water Resistance
Thermiko, a resident company of the Moscow Special Economic Zone, has successfully certified its KTPTR series thermometer sets for dust and water resistance, meeting the IP68 standard. The certification confirms that the devices are protected against dust and moisture ingress, ensuring the uninterrupted operation of heat energy metering equipment. The announcement was made by Anatoly Garbuzov, Moscow Government Minister and Head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy.
""The Technopolis Moscow SEZ is a hub of high-tech manufacturing, home to more than 230 companies. Here, enterprises develop and modernize innovative products in demand across key industries. For example, this year a research and production company based at the Alabushevo site confirmed the dust and water resistance of its platinum thermometers, which are used by utility providers. Successful certification is another step toward enhancing the reliability of equipment in the housing and utilities sector,"" said Anatoly Garbuzov.
IP68 certification guarantees that the product is completely protected against dust ingress and can withstand long-term immersion in water.
""At the core of the thermometer is a highly sensitive measuring element, manufactured using a unique technology from domestically produced platinum micro-wire. The company’s products are used in Moscow’s heat metering systems and are also supplied to St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg, and other regions of Russia. In addition, the thermometers are exported to neighboring countries,"" added Gennady Degtev, General Director of Technopolis Moscow SEZ.
Platinum resistance thermometers are used in both industrial and individual heat energy metering.
""The KTPTR set consists of two platinum thermometers selected according to specific parameters so that the difference in their temperature readings is minimal. This helps minimize errors in calculating consumed thermal energy, with the devices capable of measuring temperature differences with an accuracy of up to 0.05 degrees. According to the latest regulatory documents, the devices must also withstand flooding at heating units,"" said Alexander Semenov, General Director of Thermiko."
