Technopolis Moscow SEZ Resident Increases Animal Vaccine Production by 43% in Q1 2025
Vetbiokhim, a resident company of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ at the Pechatniki site, which produces immunobiological veterinary products, manufactured approximately 15 million doses of vaccines in the first quarter of 2025. This represents a 1.4-fold increase compared to the same period last year, according to Moscow Deputy Mayor for Transport and Industry, Maxim Liksutov.

“During Q1 2025, the company produced and distributed 12.5 million doses for farm animals and 2.5 million doses for pets. Overall production increased by 43.3% compared to the same period last year. Moscow’s pharmaceutical enterprises play a key role in meeting the needs of Russian medicine and veterinary care. Thanks to the support provided by the city under the instructions of Mayor Sergey Sobyanin, the capital’s pharmaceutical sector continues to develop actively,” Liksutov said.

The fully equipped industrial infrastructure at the Pechatniki site allowed Vetbiokhim to design and launch a new production facility in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards. A GMP certificate from the Republic of Turkey will also enable the company to expand its export potential.

“Vetbiokhim launched its production of veterinary immunobiological products at the Pechatniki site in 2023. The project, which created over 100 jobs, involved investments of approximately 2 billion rubles,” emphasized Anatoly Garbuzov, Moscow Government Minister and Head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy.

Over its 30 years of operation, Vetbiokhim has developed and brought to market around 100 veterinary pharmaceuticals and diagnostic systems. Today, the company’s portfolio includes more than forty immunobiological products and over fifty diagnostic kits and test systems for veterinary use. All products are developed in-house. Vetbiokhim’s solutions are used both by state animal disease control stations and by commercial clinics, including those in Moscow.

In April 2025, the company published a two-volume guide for practicing veterinarians on infectious diseases of pets, edited under the supervision of Professor Taras Aliper, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vetbiokhim. The publication presents 30 years of experience in developing and producing vaccines for cats and dogs, making it a unique educational and methodological resource.
