Enterprises of the Moscow SEZ Participated in the “Photonics. World of Lasers and Optics–2025” Exhibition
From April 1 to 4, Moscow hosted the 19th International Specialized Exhibition of Laser, Optical, and Optoelectronic Technology, “Photonics. World of Lasers and Optics–2025”. This key industry event annually brings together leading manufacturers, developers, and consumers of photonics technologies.
Companies from the Moscow Special Economic Zone “Technopolis Moscow” showcased their latest developments at the exhibition.
The Zelenograd Nanotechnology Center presented a new photonic integrated spectral splitter (FIS), which allows for the creation of significantly more compact analytical devices.
LASSARD demonstrated disassembled laser models, qunatrons — the main functional component of a laser emitter, complete optical circuits, as well as active and passive optical fibers. The company’s booth was visited by Vasily Shpak, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.
The exhibition was also attended by Gennady Degtyov, General Director of the Moscow SEZ “Technopolis Moscow”.
Earlier, Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin announced the completion of the Moscow Photonics Center at the “Alabushevo” site. The project is implemented at the federal level under the President of Russia’s instructions and with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.
The center occupies 26,700 sq. meters. Its main product is photonic integrated circuits (FIS). The planned production capacity will reach up to 100,000 units per year. FIS are used in transceivers, ensuring data transfer speeds of over 100 gigabits per second while consuming up to 10 times less energy than traditional solutions. Thanks to these elements, devices can be up to 20 times more compact than existing alternatives.
