Residents of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ Showcase Innovations at Metallobrabotka-2025

Residents of the Technopolis Moscow Special Economic Zone (SEZ) presented their developments at the 25th International Metallobrabotka-2025 exhibition. The showcase featured industrial robots, laser systems, electric drives, and additive solutions. During the event, SEZ resident Technored signed agreements with Innopolis University for the supply of educational robotic kits and with Yandex Robotics for cooperation. This was reported by Anatoly Garbuzov, Moscow Government Minister and Head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy.

“Developing domestic machine-building is a key priority for Russian industry, crucial for strengthening the country’s technological sovereignty. Residents of the Moscow SEZ play an important role in this process, actively developing high-tech production, implementing innovative solutions, participating in major industry exhibitions, and building industrial cooperation with other companies and educational institutions,” said Garbuzov.

Technored will cooperate with Yandex Robotics and supply Innopolis University with modern educational robotic kits.

“This strategic partnership allows us to bring industrial training to a whole new level. Educational robotic modules are precise replicas of real production systems, enabling students to master current technologies in classrooms while ensuring that enterprises receive fully trained specialists from day one,” said Iskander Bariev, Director of Innopolis University.

At the exhibition, Technored and Yandex Robotics presented a joint development: a universal platform for robot control, designed to improve production and logistics efficiency.

Additionally, Technored, together with Lassard, demonstrated an automated system for unloading laser-cut blanks with subsequent loading into a press brake. The manipulator-based system integrates laser cutting and sheet bending, automating the production chain and servicing two machines simultaneously.

Another joint solution introduced at the exhibition focused on robotic marking of metal products. Its mobile mounting and easy programming allow quick adaptation for engraving and marking, from single items to series production. The companies also showcased a training laser welding system.

Lassard displayed a five-axis machine for high-precision laser welding and cutting of large sheet materials, setting new standards for complex part production. Other exhibits included a 20 kW laser cutting machine, a high-speed sheet metal processing system, and machines for brass, stainless steel, aluminum alloys, gold, and other metals.

Additive Engineering, another SEZ resident, showcased 3D solutions for the metallurgical industry, including 3D printers for sand mold casting. This technology reduces preparation time, lowers material costs, and improves casting accuracy. The company operates a fleet of 18 industrial 3D printers to quickly solve a wide range of production tasks.

The exhibition also highlighted automated welding trajectory generation and correction based on 3D models, ensuring consistent high-quality welds with minimal human error. The system is user-friendly and supports multiple configurations for production optimization.

Finally, at NTC Privochnaya Tekhnika, visitors could see high-precision gearboxes, frequency converters, and mechanical drives, with interactive panels allowing hands-on testing of the equipment.
