High-Tech Robotics Center Opens in Technopolis Moscow SEZ

A new production facility dedicated entirely to the manufacturing of domestic industrial robots has opened in the Technopolis Moscow Special Economic Zone (SEZ). The announcement was made by Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industrial Development.

“On the initiative of Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin, the city’s enterprises are actively integrating innovative solutions into their production processes. Artificial intelligence, automated lines, and robotic complexes are already being applied across various industries. The opening of a dedicated site in Technopolis Moscow SEZ, where engineers and researchers will jointly design, assemble, and test industrial robots, will give a strong boost to the development of high-tech manufacturing. The project attracted more than 164 million rubles in investment,” Liksutov stated.

The robotics center, located at the Pechatniki site, covers over 1,700 square meters. The unique project was implemented by Technorad, an SEZ resident company specializing in robotic systems, components, and software.

According to Anatoly Garbuzov, Moscow Government Minister and Head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy:
“The robotics center includes a high-tech laboratory for testing and validation of technologies, which will accelerate the production cycle of innovative products from idea to implementation. This facility will serve as the core for a robotics cluster in the Central Federal District and will contribute to achieving 30% of the goals of the national project Production Tools and Automation.”

Technorad has been operating in the Technopolis Moscow SEZ since 2024. Its products are already supplied to enterprises in Moscow, as well as in Samara, Smolensk, Chelyabinsk, Nizhny Novgorod, and Novosibirsk. With the launch of this modern robotics center, the company expects to produce up to 30 high-tech standardized robotic solutions and up to 25,000 robots by 2030, noted Gennady Dyogtev, CEO of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ.

The company’s portfolio includes patented developments that either surpass foreign analogues or have no equivalents worldwide.

“Our standardized robotic systems help address the shortage of skilled labor, improve efficiency and flexibility of production processes, and enhance the competitiveness of Russian industry and the economy as a whole. The opening of this robotics center will foster the creation of an effective ecosystem for the development of domestic robotics and strengthen the country’s technological sovereignty,” said Artem Lukin, CEO of Technorad.
