Around 3,000 College Students Complete Advanced Training at Rudnevo
Nearly three thousand students from Moscow colleges have completed advanced training in in-demand industrial specialties at the innovative educational hub Rudnevo. The unique site allows students to practice skills in conditions closely resembling real production. This was announced by Anastasia Rakova, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Social Development.
“Our goal is to prepare specialists in Moscow colleges who will be ready to take on real tasks immediately after graduation. To achieve this, together with our employer partners, we are replacing outdated equipment, updating educational programs, and creating new spaces for practical training. The flagship Rudnevo center, which opened in October last year, has become a vital part of this work. Its conditions are as close to real industrial environments as possible — moreover, it is located in an industrial park with operating enterprises. Since its opening, nearly three thousand students have already trained here, and this is only the beginning. The center can host students from several colleges at once for hands-on training,” Rakova emphasized.
The flagship Rudnevo Practical Training Center is a high-tech educational and production complex, part of the Technopolis Moscow Special Economic Zone (SEZ). Covering more than 9,000 square meters, it houses 21 workshops and laboratories equipped with modern technology.
Students can develop skills required in fields such as mechanical engineering, electronics, production automation, aviation, and unmanned aerial systems. The hub’s facilities allow simultaneous training sessions for students from multiple colleges.
The center is designed with all conditions for comfortable study: each student has a personal workstation, and coworking spaces are available for group projects. On-site amenities include a cafeteria providing free hot meals for students in publicly funded programs and a caf? where dishes are prepared by students from Moscow’s culinary colleges.
Practical training is led by 42 vocational instructors from Moscow colleges and 40 industrial specialists. Major companies are involved in developing educational programs, including Moscow-based engineering plants Avangard and Skorost, Kronshtadt JSC (developer and producer of UAVs and autonomy software), Gaskar, and many other organizations.
The center also cooperates with leading engineering universities in Russia, including Moscow State University of Technology “Stankin” and Bauman Moscow State Technical University. This ensures students gain up-to-date knowledge and skills aligned with modern labor market demands.
Practical classes at Rudnevo’s modern workshops and labs help form and strengthen professional skills in students, supporting the objectives of the “Professionality” program under the national project “Youth and Children.”
