Optical Equipment Manufacturer Becomes a Resident of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ

The company View Lab (part of the GASKAR Group) has received resident status in the Technopolis Moscow Special Economic Zone (SEZ). On its new site, the company has launched production of optical equipment, with plans to manufacture around 1,000 units per month. Investments in the project have already exceeded 37 million rubles, according to Anatoly Garbuzov, Moscow Government Minister and Head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy.

“View Lab’s optical devices will be installed on unmanned aerial vehicles that are now widely used across industries — from mining and logistics to cadastral surveys. Drones equipped with thermal imaging cameras help rescuers locate missing people by detecting body heat. Scientists also use them to track rare animals and protect them from poachers,” said Garbuzov.

He noted that resident status in the Technopolis Moscow SEZ gives the company access to tax benefits and customs incentives provided by the city.

“As part of our growth strategy, we plan to expand our team to 80 employees and scale production up to 3,000 optical devices per month. To achieve this, we will invest an additional 200 million rubles. This expansion will strengthen our market position and allow us to offer a wider product range,” said Evgeny Konstantinov, Executive Director of View Lab.

The company’s production facilities currently cover 400 square meters, with 43 jobs already created.

“The surveillance cameras produced by our new SEZ resident can zoom in 102 times compared to the original image — providing highly detailed photos without losing quality. The thermal camera can detect movement, while its built-in laser rangefinder measures distances from 5 meters up to 2 kilometers,” added Gennady Dyogtev, CEO of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ.
