Water Treatment Systems Manufacturer Joins the Technopolis Moscow SEZ
The scientific and production company VDK TP, specializing in the development and manufacturing of equipment for the petrochemical and processing industries, as well as water treatment and wastewater purification systems, has officially become a resident of the Technopolis Moscow Special Economic Zone (SEZ). The news was announced by Anatoly Garbuzov, Moscow Government Minister and Head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy.                                                                                                                                “Moscow actively supports high-tech enterprises that develop unique and in-demand products. Since 2015, VDK TP has been operating at the Pechatniki site of the SEZ as a tenant. The company provides innovative solutions for the chemical, petrochemical, mining, and energy industries, along with water treatment equipment. Receiving SEZ residency is a mark of the company’s quality and the strong demand for its products. Thanks to this status, the enterprise will gain tax and customs benefits, allowing it to reinvest the savings into production development and new product launches,” said Anatoly Garbuzov.

The company’s production facilities occupy 1,300 square meters. It has increased its annual output of in-house engineered submersible mixers and recirculation pumps for wastewater treatment plants from 400 to 600 units.

To date, the company has successfully completed over 300 projects, manufacturing more than 5,000 units of equipment. Last year alone, about 40 new jobs were created. Beyond pumping systems, the company produces equipment for reagent solution preparation, dosing of dry and liquid materials, static mixers, and electrolysis-based disinfection systems.

“In 2023, the enterprise launched into serial production a special type of equipment never before manufactured in Russia. It requires particularly precise assembly due to its hermetic design. The product was developed with the Russian climate and water utility requirements in mind. VDK TP is a vivid example of a successful high-tech business: what began as a startup founded by young graduates of Bauman Moscow State Technical University, with the support of the Moscow Government, has grown into one of the major players in the domestic market,” said Gennady Dyogtev, CEO of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ.

The company’s submersible mixers, recirculation pumps, and flow generators ensure continuous circulation in tanks containing beneficial microorganisms, preventing water stagnation.

“The gearbox submersible mixers were developed by our R&D division at the end of 2021. Special emphasis was placed on ease of maintenance and repair. Their performance characteristics were confirmed both through CFD modeling and full-scale testing on our own test bench. Since the start of serial production, more than 500 units have been delivered to Russia and CIS countries. In 2024, the company’s equipment was implemented at modern wastewater treatment facilities in the Moscow region cities of Shchyolkovo and Lytkarino, as well as at new treatment plants in Gelendzhik,” added Maxim Novikov, CEO of VDK TP.
