Technopolis Moscow SEZ Issued 2.78 Million Russian Troika Cards in a Year                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         Since the launch of the new production in Moscow, 2.78 million completely Russian transport cards "Troika" have been issued. This was reported by Deputy Mayor of Moscow in the Government of Moscow for Transport and Industry Maxim Liksutov.

"On the instructions of the Mayor of Moscow Sergei Sobyanin, we are increasing technological sovereignty in critically important industries. In December 2023, all operations for issuing transport cards "Troika" were localized in the capital at the site of the special economic zone "Technopolis Moscow". In the year since the opening of production, the company has issued 2.78 million Russian cards. The new "Troika" fully complies with the highest security requirements and provides a high degree of protection for the fare payment system," said Maxim Liksutov.

The production of domestic transport cards "Troika" is carried out by the resident company of the SEZ "Technopolis Moscow" - "Mikron Security Printing". This is a joint venture of the Mikron plant and the State Unitary Enterprise "Moscow Metro".

"The companies' production capacities fully satisfy Moscow's needs for contactless cards. Every year, the Mikron plant produces more than 50 new versions of manufactured products - microcircuits, RFID tags, transistors, stabilizers, amplifiers. Modernization and expansion of production helps to achieve high performance - in 2024, a new line for assembling microcircuits in plastic cases, an additional line for assembling chip modules, as well as new areas for assembling industrial microcircuits were launched. The active development of Moscow companies is carried out with the support of the city," said Anatoly Garbuzov, Minister of the Moscow Government, Head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy of Moscow.

The implemented project is one of the most significant in the high-tech manufacturing sector.

"Since 2022, more than 11 million Troika cards on domestic Mikron microcircuits have been delivered. In 2023, with the support of Moscow, Mikron took an important step in developing production to ensure technological sovereignty, Troika became completely Russian,” said Gulnara Khasyanova, CEO of JSC Mikron.

Resident enterprises of the Moscow SEZ receive significant tax breaks and customs preferences. This allows companies to invest more in their production.

“Our residents are exempt from paying property, transport and land taxes for 10 years. In addition, the tax rate on profit is only 2 percent instead of 20. Residents are also exempt from paying customs duties and VAT when importing goods and equipment,” said Gennady Degtyarev, CEO of the Technopolis Moscow special economic zone.
