Resident of the SEZ Technopolis Moscow will invest more than 150 million rubles in a new production of synthetic sapphires

Rokor company, a manufacturer of units made of synthetic corundum, has launched the construction of a plant for the production of synthetic sapphires in Alabushevo site of SEZ Technopolis Moscow this year, informed Gennady Degtev, CEO of SEZ Technopolis Moscow.

Synthetic sapphires are necessary to create LEDs, laser systems, watch glasses as well as the screens for mobile phones. “The production will be launched on the territory of Technopolis by 2023 creating about 50 working places. Total area will be about 4000 square meters”, specified Gennady Degtev.

Rokor became a resident company of the special economic zone in February 2019. The preferences of a resident of the special economic zone allow companies to optimize the budget and reallocate funds to the development of new projects and attraction of qualified employees including foreigners, due to competitive salaries.

The location on the territory of SEZ Technopolis Moscow will give the company a number of competitive advantages, believes Igor Alyabjev, CEO of Rokor LLC. “Exercising the project on the territory of Technopolis Moscow will let us upgrade the production from synthetic corundum and start a new high-tech production line”, pointed out Igor Alyabjev.
