The experience of the SEZ Technopolis Moscow will be applied in the Republic of Bashkortostan

The delegation of the Republic of Bashkortostan has visited the special economic zone Technopolis Moscow in Pechatniki to study the experience of innovative structure creation and the implementation of the project of granting preference to entrepreneurs. In May 2020 the Government of the Russian Federation took the decision to create the first industrial production SEZ “Alga” in Bashkortostan to arrange investment projects in petrochemistry, instrument-making, microelectronic and food industry.

“SEZ Technopolis Moscow is a technology innovative zone while SEZ Alga is an industrial production one. Experience exchange in granting preference, resident status and work regulation of companies will help the partners improve the approaches to capital raising”, pointed out Gennady Degtev, CEO of SEZ Technopolis Moscow. He also added that SEZ Technopolis Moscow gathers the strongest high-tech enterprises of the city.

“Many companies of SEZ Technopolis Moscow ensure import-substitution in such industries as processing, transport and construction. Our main task is to localize in Moscow the companies producing the most demanded goods in the city. There is a system of public-private partnership in the city. For example three manufacturers of drugs and medical devices are constructing their plants on the territory of SEZ Technopolis Moscow. The resident status gives them access to the largest customers of the capital city and allows to save up to 47% on taxes and other compulsory payments”, said Gennady Degtev.

Alexander Sidyakin, the Head of Administration of the Republic of Bashkortostan, underlined that now the special economic zone Alga is in the construction phase but it is important for the Government of the Republic to consider all cooperation mechanisms successful in the leading SEZs of Russia. “It is important for us to adopt the best practices of the arrangement of greenfield sites in Alabushevo, the designs of the buildings and their engineering infrastructure which are already effectively applied in SEZ Technopolis Moscow”, shared Alexander Sidyakin.

The delegates visited the company Mapper, the leading producer of devices based on the microelectromechanical system (MEMS) technology. The delegation also visited the basic academic chair of Moscow State Educational Complex which trains qualified experts required in high-tech production.
