In January - April, 2020, the capital city producers of computers, electronic and optical components sold goods for the amount of 52.6 billion Rubles, exceeding the same period last year by 7.5 per cent, informed Vladimir Efimov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for economic policy and property and land relations.
“Today in Moscow there are over 120 electronics producers which last year sold goods for the amount of 289.6 billion Rubles. Despite temporary pandemic limits the turnover has increased this year, exceeding last year figures by 7.5% in January - April and reaching 52.6 billion Rubles. This was provided by the city support for the manufacturers”, pointed out Vice-Mayor.
25% of all Moscow electronics producers are located in SEZ Technopolis Moscow, comprising 30 resident companies which enjoy tax and customs benefits due to their resident status. “The residents take advantage of such benefits as lower property, land and income taxes, land rental preferences, customs benefits. Economic recovery requires bigger share of domestic products, support for companies to extend production of Russian electronic components competitive on the international markets. The support for resident companies of Technopolis allows them to increase distribution of high quality Russian products both on domestic and foreign markets”, specified Alexander Prokhorov, Head of the Department of investment and industrial policy of Moscow.
Gennady Degtev, CEO of SEZ Technopolis Moscow, added that about one half of Technopolis residents involved in microelectronics supply their goods abroad to China, Germany, USA, Bulgaria, Canada, France and Singapore. “Last year export of electronic goods produced in Technopolis amounted to over 115 million rubles”, he said.
