The development of a platform for remote recording of virtual SIM cards will be launched by Eastcompis Rus LLC, which in 2021 will localize its production in SEZ Technopolis Moscow. The investor plans to invest 127 million Rubles in the project, informed Vladimir Efimov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for economic policy and property and land relations. Virtual SIM cards, microchips that are embedded in a gadget at the production stage and replace traditional SIM cards. These technologies are already being used by major phone manufacturers such as Samsung and Apple. The microchip can be remotely recorded with the profile of any telecom operator that provides such service. The company Eastcompis Rus will be engaged in the development and maintenance of such profiles. Thanks to the new technology, subscribers no longer have to visit telecom salons to connect to the services of one or another operator. When traveling abroad, it is also not necessary to buy a local SIM card - you can set up a profitable subscription online. “The company was the first in the Russian market to develop software for virtual SIM cards. The manufacturer has been producing traditional SIM cards for 16 years and cooperates with the largest operators in Russia, Germany, Estonia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, Armenia and Tajikistan. The company produces over 50 million traditional SIM cards annually. In the nearest future, the developer will receive the status of a resident of the special economic zone Technopolis Moscow and next year will localize its production in this territory”, specified Vice-Major. In addition, the company plans to start issuing bank cards using a new technology for customizing the contact pad for the market - a "chip", which allows you to combine a bank card with a payment device and establish data exchange between them, said Alexander Prokhorov, Head of the Department of investment and industrial policy of Moscow. “The technology makes it possible to produce a non-standard, customized contact pad. The company plans to develop payment cards for banks in Russia and the CIS”, he added. Gennady Degtev, CEO of SEZ Technopolis Moscow pointed out that Technopolis aims to strengthen IT cluster of the special economic zone.  “Now in SEZ Technopolis Moscow there are eight residents engaged in IT development. Since the beginning of the year, residents of this sector have invested almost 200 million Rubles in the capital's economy.
