Five enterprises that have localized production on the territory of the special economic zone Technopolis Moscow have created customs control zones on their sites and enjoy customs preferences as informed by Gennady Degtev, CEO of SEZ Technopolis Moscow. Residents of the special economic zone of Moscow have the opportunity to apply the free customs zone procedure. In this case, residents receive benefits: a zero rate of VAT on the import of goods and a zero rate of customs duties. The procedure provides that the products imported by a resident first go to a temporary storage warehouse organized in the SEZ of Moscow, then it undergoes actual control by the Scientific and Innovative Post of the Moscow Regional Customs, and then enters the territory of the company, into the customs control zone created on its industrial site (CCZ). “Five companies have opened their own CCZ today, which focus on the production of composite materials, interactive equipment, medical supplies and resuscitation equipment. These are "NCC", "Nex-T", "Inkoro", "GemaTech", "Chirana +". In the near future, several more residents are planning to join the free customs zone procedure.
