A resident of special economic zone (SEZ) Technopolis Moscow, the company Legoplast has completed commissioning of a new line for the production of innovative lightweight plastic pallets. The products have a special design, easy to load and transport, said Vladislav Ovchinsky the head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy, which is part of the Complex of Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations of the capital. The company started working on the site of the Moscow SEZ at the end of 2022 and is already mastering a new type of product: innovative plastic pallets, which have an improved design. For this purpose, the resident of the Moscow SEZ purchased and installed a new production line. The enterprise is ready to produce more than 400 thousand units per year, said Vladislav Ovchinsky. The consumers of the new high-tech production will be agro-industrial enterprises, agricultural producers, domestic industrial enterprises, wholesale bases, warehouse complexes, logistics centers, stores and marketplaces. The new pallet forms are unique and patented. Such pallets weigh many times less than usual, and their load parameters remain the same. The lightweight design makes the product much cheaper. The unique geometry allows stacks of pallets to be stacked tightly, making efficient use of transport space, as they can be stacked into one another during return transport. The design of the upper part of the pallet is also innovative: it has special sides that fix the crates and prevent them from slipping. In addition, the design provides areas for labeling, pallet numbers and other information that the customer will need, explained the CEO of Legoplast Vladimir Shtylev. Like other pallets produced by the resident of the Moscow SEZ, this product is fully recyclable, adapted to the return and non-return transport. Compared with wooden pallets, the new ones are fully leak-proof, but also can be freely moved with a forklift. They don't have individual components and parts that can break. Plastic pallets do not rot, do not absorb moisture, can be disinfected, and have a service life of at least 10 years. The company became a resident of the Moscow SEZ last October. Thanks to the modern infrastructure of the Pechatniki site, the company was able to start producing products strictly according to the schedule, focusing fully on the production process. The company rents premises with an area of 1,1 thousand square meters. The resident has invested more than 200 million rubles in production and will create about 50 jobs in the future. The resident's new products will bear the logo "Made in the SEZ Technopolis Moscow", noted General Director of SEZ Technopolis Moscow Gennady Degtev. Capacities of the company enable to produce more than 400 thousand plastic pallets a year, which will reduce the share of similar foreign products in the food, transport and warehousing industries. High density low pressure polyethylene from which the pallets are made is also fully produced in Russia. The status of a resident of SEZ Technopolis Moscow allows the company to receive significant privileges. The company is exempt from property, transport and land taxes for 10 years. The rate of profit tax for it is only two per cent. There are also benefits for the lease of land allocated for the construction of the enterprise, and on completion of construction, the opportunity is given to buy out the plot for one per cent of its cadastral value. ________________________________________ Press service of the SEZ "Technopolis Moscow" Phone: +7 916 516-15-46 Mail: pr@technomoscow.ru [ mailto:pr@technomoscow.ru ] Subscribe to the SEZ "Technopolis Moscow" in social networks, follow the main news of the SEZ in telegram-channel [ https://t.me/technopolismoscow ]  and receive all the most important news delivered to your mail in our weekly newsletter [ http://events.technomoscow.ru/subscribe/?utm_source=site_technomoscow ] .
