Generium-Next company, a resident of special economic zone (SEZ) Technopolis Moscow, plans to finish major works on the construction of a new pharmaceutical plant a few months ahead of schedule - by the end of this year, said Vladimir Yefimov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow on Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations. On the site of Alabushevo special economic zone in Moscow, the company will build a new pharmaceutical production complex with an area of more than 20 thousand square meters. It will produce drugs for the treatment of bronchial asthma, cardiovascular, rare and hereditary diseases. The volume of investment in the establishment of the plant amounts to almost five billion rubles. Now the company's management has decided to speed up the pace of construction to complete the main work in the fourth quarter of 2023 instead of the end of the first quarter of 2024, said Vladimir Yefimov. In 2021 the company Generium-Next has received the status of the resident of a special economic zone of Moscow that allows it to receive considerable privileges. Such enterprises are exempt from property, transport and land taxes for 10 years. The rate of profit tax for them is only two percent. There is also a free customs zone regime and benefits on the lease of land allocated for the construction of the enterprise, and upon completion of construction there is an opportunity to buy the leased land for one percent of the cadastral value. The released funds can be used by companies for their own development. At the present time Generium-Next rents on the site Alabushevo premises of about 500 square meters. In the summer of 2022, a secondary packaging and production shop for the treatment of bronchial asthma complications and rare, so-called orphan diseases, including Gaucher disease and cystic fibrosis, started operating. It is planned that this facility will produce more than 150,000 units annually and will reach full capacity by the end of 2024. Today the company's customers are dozens of Moscow state and private medical institutions, stressed Vladislav Ovchinsky, head of Moscow's Department of Investment and Industrial Policy. All the medicines produced by this resident of SEZ Technopolis Moscow are included by the Ministry of Health of Russia in the list of vital and essential. After the construction of the new production complex, the company plans to create 250 jobs, said Gennady Degtev, CEO of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ. Earlier, at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said that a large cluster for the production of drugs, especially life-saving drugs, is now unfolding in Zelenograd: most of them have never been produced in Russia. In the coming years, the volume of this cluster will be increased by two-thirds. ________________________________________ Press service of the SEZ "Technopolis Moscow" Phone: +7 916 516-15-46 Mail: pr@technomoscow.ru [ mailto:pr@technomoscow.ru ] Subscribe to the SEZ "Technopolis Moscow" in social networks, follow the main news of the SEZ in telegram-channel [ https://t.me/technopolismoscow ] and receive all the most important news delivered to your mail in our weekly newsletter [ http://events.technomoscow.ru/subscribe/?utm_source=site_technomoscow ] .
