In the special economic zone (SEZ) Technopolis Moscow launched the production of vital and essential drugs for the treatment of cancer and HIV. This was announced by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations Vladimir Yefimov. “The capacities of the Amedart company from the Technopolis Moscow SEZ allow the annual production of up to 10 million packages of antiretroviral drugs for the treatment of HIV and up to a million packages of anticancer drugs. These medicines are already being supplied to all regions of the country as part of public procurement by the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation,” said Vladimir Yefimov. Amedart became a resident of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ in 2019. To create modern production, the Industrial Development Fund provided the enterprise with a soft loan under the program "Development Projects [ https://frprf.ru/zaymy/proekty-razvitiya/ ] " in the amount of 100 million rubles. This year, Amedart plans to release 20 drugs from the list of vital and essential drugs (VED). Head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy of Moscow Vladislav Ovchinsky specified that the company is aimed at import substitution. “In addition to drugs for the treatment of HIV infection and oncology, the company began to produce immunosuppressants and drugs for the treatment of kidney failure. The company is capable of producing up to 15 million packages of these medicines per year. In general, Amedart manufactures more than 60 different drugs. The enterprise is aimed at import substitution and increasing the share of domestic funds in the Russian market,” said Vladislav Ovchinsky. According to the company, now the share of foreign-made medicines on the Russian market exceeds 60%. However, domestic products with comparable quality are cheaper than foreign analogues. The increase in the production of medicines from Russian companies from the list of Vital and Essential Drugs contributes to the achievement of the national goal "Preservation of the population, health and well-being of people" and the solution of the tasks of the national project "Health". The company occupies an area of ??more than five thousand square meters in the SEZ in Pechatniki, said the General Director of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ Gennady Degtev. “The production complex of the enterprise includes workshops for liquid and solid dosage forms, as well as a high-tech research and development center.
